ADOBO MEXICAN GRILL

Adobo started with a digital nomad from the US who fell in love with Da Nang. While living here, he missed the Tex-Mex flavors he grew up with, and since there weren’t many options around, he decided to bring those flavors to the city. With years of experience in the restaurant industry and help from friends in the business, he took the leap and openedAdobo Mexican Grill.

TACOS 1

The world’s most iconic American-Chinese legend. Bold, sweet, tangy, and spicy sauce. Served with steamed broccoli and scallions on top. Feeling shy? We’ve got a non-spicy version too (we won’t tell).

TACOS 2

My mom’s OG recipe. Served since 1993 and still undefeated. Tangy, sweet, and savory sesame sauce over crisp steamed broccoli, topped with sesame seeds. A childhood favorite that still hits like day one.

TACOS 3

Rich, savory and lightly sweet sauce with sliced white onions and scallion sticks. Serve hot and loud over a sizzling plate. Best enjoyed with steak. Heads will turn.

I have been missing texmex food. This place hit the spot just right. They have lots of great options plus you can even make your own burrito. And they do not skimp unlike some places (cough cough chipotle). I had the tater tots which were super crispy and delicious and came with a chipotle mayo, and my burrito creation which was massive and divine. Yum. Thanks so much guys. I’ll definitely be back next time the craving for Mexican food comes around.

As an Mexican food LOVER I was so excited to stop in for brunch and ordered a bunch of different dishes so I could really try the range. Everything was edible and fine, but overall lacked proper Mexican seasoning. Just because you put sweetcorn, rice, and barbacoa beef together doesn’t automatically make it feel authentic. The flavors were a bit flat and basic, especially for the price point. Also, the churros tasted so stale and burnt at the same time, would not recommend in the slightest.

What really confused me was the staffing – I counted thirteen staff members present, for a total of two occupied tables. Most were just standing around chatting, which gave off odd vibes. Only one staff member seemed to be able to communicate in even very basic English, and he was the one constantly being sent over to every table. He honestly deserves a raise for carrying the place.

Overall, the food is okay, but the experience feels overpriced and strangely managed for what you get.

Yesterday we visited a Mexican restaurant for the very first time. The food was delicious — it was our first experience with Mexican cuisine, and it left a wonderful impression. Everything was served quickly, beautifully, and in a pleasant atmosphere.

We would like to give special thanks to our waitress Oanh. She helped us navigate the menu, recommended dishes to try, and guided us through the order with helpful explanations, which made our introduction to the cuisine easy and enjoyable.

The service was excellent: fast, attentive, and caring. The restaurant was clean and cozy, which added to the overall great experience.

We will definitely come back!
